Welcome to Pack 989
Our Family Pack, where scouts learn and thrive.
Open to girls and boys Kindergarten through 5th grade

Your child will learn self confidence.
Join your student at den meetings, pack meetings, campouts, and for community service. Giving back by helping others is good for them, good for the community, and good for the parents who volunteer.
Watch your child learn and grow right before your eyes as they learn teamwork, improved self esteem, and a few s’mores for good measure.
Pinewood Derby, the scouting essentials, how to care for themselves and their den mates.

You’re in the right place! Check the News section, sign up for our mailing list and follow along on social media. Pack Communications come once or twice a month via email and you can always reach out to your den leader or the pack here on the website!
It’s totally ok! Families are busy, if you miss a meeting or an event you can pick up right where you left off. We want you and your scout to have fun and not stress. We typically host a pack meeting once a month and your scout will likely have a den meeting once a month as well. but if you can’t make one, just let your den leader know you’re ok!
Never! Join for the first time in 5th grade, or spend 6 years with us, all are welcome in our Family Pack. You will find the things they learn each year build on each other and they can catch on quickly with no needing to catch up.
Hey, it could happen. It usually doesn’t…but we’d LOVE to help make the experience rewarding for your scout. If they’re not having the BEST time here, we want to know so we can improve the experience for them and the other scouts.
Nope. We do meet near Weldon spring, Missouri and at the Independence Cafeteria for larger pack meetings, but any school aged K-5 child that wants to join scouting, or learn more is welcome. We have students from several other area schools in our pack so your child can definitely join, and is encouraged to invite a friend to come along.
